Recycled Magazine/Book Holder


Recycled Magazine Holders
**REQUIRES PARENTAL SUPPERVISION**
Supplies:
Cereal box
craft knife
straight edge or ruler
pencil
gift wrap and glue or poster paint
Magazine OrganizersInstructions:

1. Use the pencil and ruler to mark a line four inches from the bottom of the box, as shown in the diagram on the right.

2. Draw a diagonal line from the four inch mark to the top opposite corner of the box, as shown. Repeat on the other side of the box.

3. Use a sharp craft knife or exacto knife to cut away the top portion of the box, following the pencil lines.

4. Paint the box in the color of your choice, or cover with glue and gift wrap.

Suggestion:Organize your magazines by color coding - just paint each magazine holder in a different color.

Tracking the Trash in the Woods

After an hour in the woods, Kami and Austin collected 3 bags of garbage. They found mostly cans that had been carelessly discarded. After collecting litter from the woods, our Recycling Kids spent an hour sorting through cans, bottles and paper so they could be recycled.
