Paper Weighs a Ton!

The Recycling Kids and their school's Green Team, between the months of November and April, have collected 19,056.43 pounds of paper (9.52 tons) in the Abitibi Bin! That is more than the weight of 3 SUVs! Think about all the space it has saved in landfills! Now the paper can be recycled into useful household items. Does your school have an Abitibi Bin?

Tracking the Trash in the Woods

After an hour in the woods, Kami and Austin collected 3 bags of garbage. They found mostly cans that had been carelessly discarded. After collecting litter from the woods, our Recycling Kids spent an hour sorting through cans, bottles and paper so they could be recycled.
